Where's
the Bears?

For nearly 140 years, a veil of mystery and intrigue has hung over events that reportedly took place somewhere on the forest road between Ruardean and Cinderford. Both places vehemently deny responsilibity for the deaths of two dancing bears, brought to the Forest by a group of French travelling showmen - who themselves were brutally beaten up in the attack. The reason for the crime? A rumour had circulated that the bears had savaged and killed a local child. The bodies of the bears have never been found, perhaps their discovery would provide some evidence that would finally put this mystery to rest.

The hunt is on.
